In Kowloon City near Nathan Road. This neighborhood was being considered to be torn down. Many of the buildings here are over 80 years old. You can see construction going on in the background and the new high-rise buildings as well.
I used Photomatix Pro 2.5.1 to convert this image into HDR. I think the end result wasn't too bad.
So many times I see an HK movie, it seems to be some place like this--more run dow--and I wonder if the city has any nice places to be. I've seen other places like WanChai Market but they never seem to look like people live there, also.
Having the airport right next door gave Kowloon an amazing aesthetic.. And it looked the same way for sooooo long. Almost tragic that its changing so quickly but I guess that's life/progress/money.
Did you manipulate the contrast or colors?
Or, are those the original colors?
Cos' I noticed that it looks really damp, like it just rained, the colors I mean.

(the RAW and HDR stuff).
HDR is high dynamic range. It basically means that even shadows have details too.
